Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.
What your background should look like:
Role Objective
Support various global TE locations for Terminal and Connector housing validation (Electrical testing, Climatic testing, Analytical testing, Report preparation etc.).
Regular interactions to understand validation requirements from internal and external customers (Product Engineers, OEM’s) as per International standards, TE Product specification and Customer specific standards, and effectively translating them into validation methods.
Responsibilities
Performance of qualification and validation tests as well as research & development on connector systems according to the current test specifications of the automotive industry
Preparation of test setups, testing and recording and control of measurement and test data in his area of responsibility and competency.
Investigations on reliability, function and quality based on specifications.
Responsible project planning and implementation
Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures including safety rules, 5S+1 and Quality management regarding IATF 16949, ISO 17025
Carry out error analyzes by means of various analytical methods with support of specialists.
Close cooperation with development departments.
Knowledge sharing and mentoring based on team’s operational requirements and strategies.
