The Tracking Platform team is seeking Strong Software Engineers to work in a fast paced environment along side a team of engineers passionate in building scalable platforms. ⨠About Tracking Platform – Tracking Platform collects user behavioural data and combines with the service rules to provide a holistic picture of user behaviour and derive different insights. This platform is used by PayPal and its tenants like Venmo, Xoom, Hyperwallet etc. We collect about 30Billion + events on a daily basis and growing exponentially. The tech stack used includes web/js, android/ios skds, mid tier services built in scala/akka, kafka, elastic, hadoop/spark/hive, teradata, druid and Web UI for self analytics. The criticality of decisions made based on this data is paramount. Hence making sure of integrity, availability, adhering to SLA is critical as well.â¨
Requirement
- 4-8 yrs of work exp
- Strong Java or Scala development skills
- Strong hands on experience in building applications and pipelines in Spark
- Good understanding of Hadoop infrastructure and how application works in a distributed environment
- Strong scripting knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Great numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to work well with others, and thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment
- Experience with agile development methodologiesand Lean Startup product iteration techniques
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience on Ariflow, GCP is a plus.
