Position Summary:
This position will work within the DE (Digital Engineering) group to develop front end functionality for web projects related to Fisher Scientific and Thermo Fisher Scientific ecommerce web sites. Candidate will coordinate with UI lead and backend developers and other team members to design and implement user interfaces for applications based on JAVA and related technologies. Candidate will work with backend developers to implement and maintain web applications and services that interact with Product, Content, Search and E-Commerce systems. This position offers a challenging career to work on systems that interface with multiple systems including Content Management Systems, Product Information Management System, Middleware and ERPs.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
Minimum Experience
- 7+ years of related experience.
Essential Experience/Skills:
- Hands on experience in AWS provisioning
- Experience designing for disaster recovery in AWS
- Expertise in developing Cloud Formation Scripts
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code with Terraform/CloudFormation/Puppet/Chef.
- Experience with CI/CD and building test automation frameworks
- Extensive knowledge on Jenkins and Git Hub Enterprise.
- IAM (Roles and Policies)
- VPC (NAT Gateways, Subnets, IP Routing)
- Lambda, S3, Route 53, Kinesis, SQS, SNS
- In-depth understanding of HTTP, experience debugging REST applications
- In-depth understanding of application security and experience implementing it
- Knowledge of IP networking, VPN’s, DNS, load balancing and firewall.
- Must have skill – AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Postgres, Dockers, monitoring
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes Deployments, Jenkins, Python packages
- Experience with scripting and programming such as Python
- Internet Protocols [http, https, SSL, sftp, ftp] – knowledge and working experience
- Knowledge of RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Redshift, etc.)
- Knowledge utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket)
- Ability to work in a Scrum/Agile software team & diverse team in a collaborative environment
- Willingness to support a DevOps team (24X7 accessibility for emergency issues on a rotating basis)
- Willingness to work on a fast-paced team
- Be able to work with onshore counterparts with reasonable overlap time and attend onshore calls.
- Be able to step up when situation demands such as meeting deadlines and critical production issues.
- Be performance driven, highly motivated to adopt new technologies, challenges and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team player with strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Be flexible to work with some overlapping work overs if needed and attend onshore calls.
- Regular day to day job responsibilities does not involve travel.
