Job Description :
Payroll Escalations Resolution Team (PERT) handles the most highly escalated customer escalations received by Amazon and ensures the voice of customers is heard within the company. Escalations handled by this team come from current and former employees, prospective employees and applicants, and many others, including the friends and families of these individuals. PERT constantly review process that directly or indirectly lead to poor employee experiences, and drive positive actions to resolve and improve on behalf of Amazon employees, Payroll team and the overall company. In addition, team also collects feedback from employees through surveys and work towards improving employee experience.
Summary of Responsibilities
. Lead a team that manages egregious escalations from Amazon employees which were sent to CEO, VPs, and other Amazon senior leaders arising within Payroll and Employee Services (ES).
. Structure and improve escalations management. This includes, investigating escalations root cause and corrective actions, providing a detailed root cause analysis to analyze and improve employee experience.
. Coordination and systemic waste elimination/ improvement of processes pertaining to escalation resolution with internal stakeholders. This includes how to fill the ‘Partner Template’ and how to draft outreach email to internal stakeholders and drive engagement toward resolution with internal stakeholders and acting as point of contact from payroll team.
. Sharing resources and best practice to secure optimal customer experience within the IMPC (India Managed Payroll Countries).
. Highlight process and quality improvement opportunities throughout escalation investigations contributing to customer experience improvement and communicate / take actions as appropriate.
Drive innovation, simplify and improve service solutions across IMPC.
. Responsible for Daily employee feedback review sessions, Weekly Shadow sessions
Submit feedback and cascade relevant information to Operations managers ensuring that Payroll team is consistently kept up to date with amazon policies and emerging issues.
. Lead and contribute to projects to improve employee experience and Payroll Operations, not limited to PERT scope yet looking at end-to-end employee life cycle.
. Identify and analyze issues, patterns and trends in escalations to report to leadership teams and help identify structural improvements (think long term). Identify and escalate emerging issues to appropriate stakeholders.
. Assess team workload and available resource to define priorities accordingly.
. Managing annual performance targets, creating and monitoring appropriate performance metrics
. Oversee the hiring & training of new team members and support their development
. Ensure productivity is maximized through supervision, training, analysis, and feedback of performance data on a periodic basis
. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Amazon.com’s policies and procedures
. Engage, coach and develop a strong team of PERT Associates across IMPC countries and cultures.
Basic Qualifications :
. At least 2 years of relevant experience including people management/leading a team of Associates. (Overall 8+ years of experience)
. Flexible to work in shifts
. Fluency English (spoken and written)
. Previous experience in handling customer escalations and reporting to Senior Leadership
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Ability communicate and present efficiently to customer, executives and internal/external stakeholders in professional manner
. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
. Exceptionally strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and resolve complex customer/business issues
. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Capacity to initiate and drive projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications :
. B.com / MBA / M.com or equivalent degree
. Prior experience in Payroll
. Experience writing business report and narrative documents
. Experience in data analysis and project management
