How will you make an impact
As a member of the Enterprise Platform Architecture team, you will have responsibility for the governance and definition of operational, high-performing solutions, which are directly aligned to enterprise vision and goals. Your work will ensure transparency throughout the Oracle ERP landscape, allowing industrialization of implementations through well-defined templates, whilst adhering to agreed roadmaps and strategies. You will help with AOP discussions and be involved in phase zero discussions around new rollouts throughout the business. As the Oracle, JDE and E1 ‘go-to’ person, you will need to keep abreast of innovations in the technology sector and you will be relied upon by our business and IT colleagues to align any new innovations with business goals.

What will you do
- Define, maintain and publish an inventory of our ERP landscape, solutions and roadmaps
- Work closely with our business IT and business teams to understand the business operations roadmaps, operational challenges and requirements supported by our ERP systems
- Effectively and meaningfully influence discussions and roadmaps with our ETO, IT and business colleagues
- Proactively work with partners and vendors to evaluate new Oracle ERP technologies and capabilities to determine if there is enough business value and alignment with our roadmap to warrant investment
- Meet with our business IT and business colleagues to prepare and provide demonstrations of existing and new Oracle ERP capabilities
- Constantly align with functional and technical delivery teams and leaders to ensure governance, compliance and good architectural discipline in projects and enhancements
- Ensure that all Oracle ERP solutions follow security, compliance controls, and conformance to Thermo Fisher’s IT security standard
- Work with Enterprise Platform Architect colleagues to ensure consistency of approach, sharing of solutions and innovations and cross-pollination of knowledge
How will you get here
Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in ERP consultancy/analysis
- JDEdwards E1 certification in at least one functional module
- Strong functional and technical abilities in JDE E1
- Exposure to Oracle ERP Cloud desirable
- Awareness of Oracle ERP roadmap
- Experience of at least three end-to-end E1deployments
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of additional software add-ons is desirable, such as SFDC, Cognos, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Manhattan WMS, Precision
- Cloud computing knowledge desirable
- Good understanding of costs and risks associated with ERP
- Understanding of DevOps and Agile principles
- Ability to translate the technical to a Business audience and vice versa
- Must be a self-starter, able to work unsupervised
- Self-confidence and ability to influence and present to internal key stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and excellent documentation skills are a must
- Good business and finance acumen and experience
- SAP exposure desirable
