The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group provides accurate and timely analysis on the financial performance of the CIB Digital & Platform Services (D&PS) business units. The group has global responsibility for budgeting and analysis of compensation and non-compensation expenses. This function includes coordination across front office, support groups, corporate groups, and other LOBs. Financial presentations are regularly prepared for senior management and the CIB Operating Committee.
The Planning & Analysis VP oversees the reporting needs of CIB D&PS Senior Management, Finance & Business Management and other entities. The role has a high level of interaction with the CIB D&PS CFO, Business Managers, Finance Managers and CIB Planning and Analysis teams. The candidate must be able to organize and deliver monthly and ad hoc requests and quickly define views that prompt decisions by Senior Management. The role demands superior analytical skills, presentation skills, technical abilities and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and business reviews that provide clear, impactful explanations of operating results and variances based on relevant business drivers, and help ensure expense goals are achieved
- Assist in the production of the monthly Operating Reviews which provide senior management with detailed information on monthly financials, trends and business outlook to assist in key business decisions
- Produce executive presentations, analysis and supporting materials for key internal clients including senior management participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed
- Participate in the global annual planning process for expenses and headcount involves financial modeling, coordinating and consolidating submissions from FM teams
- Develop, consolidate and present insightful and robust financial analysis including annual budget, quarterly/monthly forecast variances
- Build models for forecasting and ad-hoc analysis leveraging large data sets
- Drive process improvement to enhance reporting and gain efficiencies
- Capable of completing reporting and analytics accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders
- Proactively take ownership of financial data and elevate any issues
Qualifications, Competencies:
- Chartered Accountant / MBA in finance with at least 12-14 years of working experience in financial planning, forecasting and variance/ trend analysis will be preferred
- The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Team Management, Leadership and Stakeholder management
- Strong technical, analytical and modeling skills, including Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience in Paragon, Alteryx,Tableau, SAP would be an added advantage
- Excellent multitasking/prioritizing skills and ready to deliver under a challenging environment
- Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthe into cohesive presentation and recommendations
- Detail oriented individual with the ability to work well under pressure, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Team oriented, inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and senior management
- Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically
- Possesses the ability to research issues/problems & focuses on a ‘solution-based approach to their work environment
