DESCRIPTION
We are looking for senior software engineers who will help lead a team of engineers in the design and build of a new green-field system to support one of Amazon Finance’s most strategic systems initiatives. In this role, you will bring your leadership designing, building, and operating reliable, distributed services to a newly formed team. This role will lead the build out and expansion of finance operation’s enterprise related account service, which serves as the foundational graph database for customer account relationships across amazon. The ideal candidate is an hands-on senior software developer that enjoys working with others, learning, and building with a long-term ownership focus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 4+ years of professional software development experience
· 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar major
· 5+ years of experience in a software or applications engineering role
· Experience developing internet products and technologies
· Familiarity with agile and kanban methodologies
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
