S&P; Global Ratings The Role: Lead Software Engineer(SRE) Grade: 10 The Location: Hyderabad The Team: You will be part of the SRE team that support Tier 1 apps. SRE team is responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning. SRE team members manages a lot of critical applications in Ratings. You will be part of the team which is very visible and client facing most of the time and your role is to lead the efforts from SRE and Infrastructure stand point. You will have to work in collaboration with users and Developers and other stakeholders. The Impact: You will be SRE for mission critical applications. Your actions will directly impact the business which is of high net worth. You will be learning, driving the most advanced technical solutions independently in Ratings. Responsibilities: Fixing support escalation issues Building software to help operations and support teams Optimizing on-call rotations and processes Documenting ‘tribal’ knowledge Conducting post-incident reviews Conducting RCA of Incidents Be part of the Preventive action and Corrective actions Develop Immutable Infrastructure Work on Building solutions in ADO’s viz designing pipelines, executing them and debugging them on failures Automate solutions that helps project and apps in ensuring you give capacity back and save dollars. Adapt new technology and have zeal to learn any upcoming or existing technology. What We’re Looking For Basic Qualifications: Bachelor or master’s degree 6+ years of experience in Infrastructure and as an SRE with the current organization Familiarity with the development tools like ADO, Kubernetes, Dockers, Unix, Linux, Splunk Database knowledge (SQL and NOSQL), DevOps working knowledge Cloud knowledge (Azure and AWS) Understanding of webservices., xmls, ymls and Node js Preferred Qualifications: Good communication skills and Escalation management About S&P; Global Ratings: S&P; Global Ratings is the world’s leading provider of independent credit ratings.
