Job Description Summary
The Internal Margin & Inventory Analyst works as part of the integrated supply chain Controllership team of GE Healthcare supporting global Healthcare systems internal margin, obsolescence, and physical inventory within the business. The role works cross-functionally with Group FP&A;, Region FP&A;, Region Controllership and Treasury of GE Healthcare driving projects to improve financial visibility, accountability, and predictability and is responsible for key month-end and quarter-end cycles for internal margin, obsolescence, and physical inventory.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partner across the FP&A;, Treasury, Finance Systems and Controllership functions to drive enhanced visibility, accountability and predictability to the Internal Margins, Obsolescence, and Physical Inventory processes. In addition, driving projects and aligning resources to improve the management of these cycles.
  • Support key business projects to simplify and standardize reporting to drive increased visibility, accountability and real-time analytics.
  • Lead operating mechanisms to estimate impacts across Healthcare Systems.
  • Partner with Region FP&A; to drive visibility and understanding of internal margin, obsolescence, and physical inventory.
  • Develop, improve and standardize financial processes: Finance reporting tools, Management reporting tools and estimating processes.
  • Develop and implement controls to approve and minimize manual journal entries.
  • Develop new reports for process improvements. Partner with Finance Systems in digitizing required tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Business Objects, Hyperion, etc.), strong Excel and Alteryx skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e.: pivot tables, Vlookup and macros).
  • Good understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP.
  • Experience in operational finance, costing, or inventory accounting.
