Key responsibilities
1) Manage preparation of contract checklist.
2) Review & validate the cost records and analyse prospective risk.
3) Continuously doing transaction level audits for all operational and financial data under limited supervision and provide feedback..
4) Ensure all necessary controls are followed by execution teams.
5) Ensure accurate and timely cost reporting
6) Develop recommendations and implement changes to processes and systems that will minimise risk, improve performance and productivity
7) Standardize and align processes
We are looking for
1) Financial educational background as Intermediate – Cost Accountant, Intermediate Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree in Finance and Accounting and good understanding of control framework.
2) Minimum 6 years of qualification experience within cost controlling, cost accounting, P&L analysis etc.
3) Self-motivated and continuously looks for opportunities to improve financial reporting and processes by exploring new approaches and ideas
4) Excellent analytical and structured working method
5)Ability to handle phases with high workload and unplanned activities.
6) Team player – works together with others to achieve results.
7) Shipping/ Transportation industry experience would be an added advantage but not mandatory.
