Eaton’s eMobility division is currently seeking a Senior Commercial Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Southfield, MI facility.
Position Overview:
The eMobility Commercial Financial Analyst is responsible for leading the financial analysis required for product line quotes (RFQ’s), Business Cases (CARs), ProLaunch program reviews, and ad-hoc commercial analysis as required by the eMobility leadership team. The role will report directly to eMobility Commercial Finance Controller and work closely with the SVP of Product Management & Sales and the Director of Program Management.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and Lead the production of a wide range of monthly reports covering commercial financial performance measures. Reporting and analysis of past performance plus developing short-term (actual / forecast), mid-term (annual profit plan) and long term (strategic plan) outlooks.
  • Manage and lead the financials for customer quotes (RFQ’s). Work closely with the Sales, Product Management, Program management and New product introduction to create timely and accurate financials.
  • Coordinate or lead the financials for business cases (Growth CARs, footprint strategy, etc.). Work closely with the Sales, Product Management, Program management and New product introduction to create timely and accurate financials.
  • Manage and lead the financials for eMobility program / projects. Ensure accuracy and alignment with Program Management financial tools / reporting.
  • Manage and lead the financials for ad-hoc commercial financial analysis, financial modeling, sensitivity (what-if) scenarios.
  • Subject matter expert for product revenue and profitability tools.
  • Coordinate or lead accurate & timely submission of eMobility Strategic Plan financial requirements.
  • Liaise with HQ Controller (as necessary) for New Program introduction spending.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business and/or Finance from accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Southfield, MI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in accounting, finance or business.
  • Prior professional work experience in cost accounting, financial reporting and/or variance analysis.
  • Understanding of financial investment metrics including budget, profit and make versus buy analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Business Intelligence tools.
