QRC Team member ‘Quick Response Center Engineer’
The Gas Power business providing quick issue resolution for Product Lines; has a need for QRC Engineer with experience working on GE LM aero derivative LM Gas turbines
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all incoming Service Now cases and transferred/dropped cases to the GT QRC during their scheduled working hours when in an office environment (home office or GE Office) to resolve the issue(s) quickly when applying their technical expertise and utilizing when possible the ‘RM&D;’ Remote Monitoring & Diagnostic system(s)

The Gas Power business provides quick issue resolution for different Aero Product Lines that drives the need for Quick Response Center engineer with experience to work on GE LM & TM Aeroderivative Gas Turbines
All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance parameters. Includes hourly, nonexempt and exempt employees as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Technical issues resolution in a timely manner
  • Reduce on site services execution jobs by solving technical issues on a remote basis
  • Act as technical expert for customers using the remote system and process
  • If technical issue cannot be solved remotely, request on site execution in terms of maximizing efficiency and optimizing resources
  • Receive, Log, resolve issue(s) quick OR when necessary, Forward issues to correct x-function to resolve the issue fast
  • Collecting of fleet issues to support the emergent issue process
  • Optimizing of first fix rate via telephone and remote support
  • Participation in the 24/7/365 Support shifts per Aero business structure and product line, which includes weekend duty
  • Demonstrated ability to represent GE in customer communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a cross-functional team.
  • Attend product line trainings for all Aero products to broaden your product line knowledge and expertise.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline on Aero product & processes. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level is an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Required Qualifications

  • 5-10 years previous work experience as field services technician (Controls/Electric) on various controls panels (Woodward/GE MK 5/6/6e/Fanuc) typically in a HDGT/Aero GT plant set up
  • Knowledge on DLE controls
  • Be able to read and interpret electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams.
  • Self-initiated communications with end user (on-site customers) to help resolve issues.
  • Strong knowledge of products and services of Aero Product line.
  • Ability to analyze operating data to understand nature of customer issues quickly.
  • Good communication skills, issue tracking in the business’s applied tool, clarity of process and business structure
  • Strong computer skills and advanced user of office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in local language of your position location of country and working knowledge of English
  • This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Fleet Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
