Job Description: The Finance Department will be responsible for overseeing financial project management as well as general financial
administration. This department will broadly ensure accounting and maintaining relevant records, internal control and
compliance on all financial activities, planning and preparing accurate budget, and communicate financial reporting to
Governing Body for productive decision making on financial matters.
Key Skills: ROLE OF THE DEPARTMENT

This department will broadly ensure accounting and maintaining relevant records, internal control and compliance on all financial activities, planning and preparing accurate budget, and communicate financial reporting to Governing Body for productive decision making on financial matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining and overseeing the financial books and accounts of the organization and ensure all filings are done as per statutory timelines
• Defining and allocating funds judiciously to all programs. Ensure adherence to budget and document reasons for budget overshoot
• Carrying out internal audit timely with proper documentation
• Liaising with auditors to ensure timely assessments/reports are filed
• Managing disbursement of salaries, maintaining income & expenditure reports
• Ensuring compliance in all financial activities in the Organization, reporting any non-compliance to the Secretary of Governing Body
• Ensuring accountability to Donors by furnishing right reports/utilization certificates timely • Filing returns timely with no incidents of non-compliance Finance In-charge
• Coordinating external procurement and vendor selection
• Adhering to FCRA, Income Tax & all relevant acts/stipulations to ensure compliance at all times
• Monitor day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
• Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
• Preparing the financial agenda for AGMs and Board Meetings, set objectives, present findings and observation on ground to the members of the meeting.
• Provide insightful information and expectations to Seniors to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
• Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports

DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATION
• Graduation in Commerce (Mandatory)
• M.Com (Optional)
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFCATION (Optional)
• Chartered Accountant
EXPERIENCE
• Prior experience in finance role with minimum 5 years or more experience
• Has experience (minimum 2 years) of working in development sector with international clients
Knowledge of Income Tax Act, Society Registration Act, FCRA recent amendments and all relevant statutory and legal laws as applicable on organizations in Development sector.
