Position Overview

The Tax Analyst will report to the India-based Tax Manager to carry out the team’s assigned provision and compliance tasks and responsibilities. This role requires strong process skills in executing tasks with attention to detail and timeliness. The ability to learn new processes and to understand the assigned tasks are important for success in this position. In addition, the Tax Analyst must be able to work independently with a strong self-discipline and accountability. The ability to adapt and grow as a global tax professional is expected. This includes keeping an open mind to innovative ways of working and challenging the status quo, seeking continuous improvement of the global tax team processes.
Responsibilities
The Tax Analyst will be tasked with the execution of the following as a start:
- Assist in preparation of tax return M-1 work-papers
- Assist in Trial Balance coding and Import
- Assist in preparation of tax provision and federal/state income tax returns including estimated and extension tax payments using Thomson Reuters Onesource software
- Preparing payment requests for Tax payments such as Extension, estimate, tax return and Notice payments
- Assist with Tax return data gathering and reporting by collaborating with payroll, corporate accounting, Indirect Tax, and other teams as needed
- Assist in preparation of Tax compliance of Acquired entities
- Assist with acquisition data gathering necessary for compliance reporting
- Assist in preparation of State Apportionment and State Modifications workpapers
- Assist in preparation of foreign forms and relating workpapers for Form 8858, Form 926, Form 5471
- Assist with gathering data for Monthly Cash Tax Forecast and completing the Monthly Cash Tax Forecast timely
- Monitor Tax Law changes and Updates for all States every quarter and assist in preparation of the Tax rate file quarterly
- Assist with federal and state income tax audits
- Assist with resolving State Tax Notices by discussing with the State Department and taking required action as advised
- Perform tax research on various tax topics
- Prepare Autodesk files for future IRS audit
- Other special projects as they arise
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting or Law degree
- Work experience with Big Four accounting firm
- At least 3 years of work experience in Corporate Tax
- Experience in working on S4Hana and Onesource
- Experience with U.S. taxation, especially in the tax compliance area
