Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Facilities Team conduct facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing and/or real estate coordination. They work closely and provide advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.
Role:
The person will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of buildings and facilities (travel, transport, cafeteria and security ) to ensure that they meet health and safety standards. The incumbent needs to work with business & functional leaders, vendors, supervisors while managing the budgets and keeping the basic work standards
Responsibilities:

  • Managing Repair, Maintenance & Replacement of Office Equipment’s, Appliances, Furniture, Furnishings, Vehicles, Building, Etc.
  • Need to have thorough knowledge of UPS, HVAC, FAPA, Electrical maintenance and operate the same (preventive and breakdown)
  • Develop and implement a facility management (Technical and soft) program including 52-week preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements which goes well with TE standards.
  • Coordinate and manage the physical security and coordination with local Govt. bodies as and when need.
  • Event Management, Making Travel Arrangements, Visa processing and Hotel Reservations for employees & Foreign Delegates across India locations in coordination with external vendors.
  • Organize and manage end to end facility management – Transport (Air, cab and train), Cafeteria, parking, housekeeping, Fleet management, Safety and Office operations

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and monitor appropriate facility management ground / out sourced staffing levels with appropriate utilization of the same
  • Review of sub-contractors / vendors performance on monthly basis and advise them accordingly.
  • Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency along with coordinating intra-office moves
  • Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment and take the initiative of overseeing facility refurbishment and renovations as and when required in TE offices
  • Strategically comparing the costs from various suppliers and vendors and negotiating contracts to optimize cost and delivery along with managing relationships with them
  • Conduct and document regular facilities inspections and ensure compliance with TE health and safety standards and industry codes
  • Generate and present regular daily / weekly / quarterly reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases

Desirable Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in engineering or any relevant engineering degree or thorough knowledge of technical / facility management if other than engineering degree
  • 10- 15 years of experience working in similar role.
  • Preferable good experience in facility, Admin with technical background
  • Prior experience in Facilities Management and Admin
  • Knowledge of Electro mechanical maintenance and operation
  • Managed travel, transport, security and housekeeping sub vendors
  • Self-starter and manage the site independently
  • Flexible on work timings and weekends if need.
  • Good in communications and familiar with local languages.
  • Understanding of compliance issues and statutory regulations such as Health & Safety. Knowledge in MS office, MS Excel
