Job Description :
The role holder:
• Must help to interpret business strategies into high level business and operational designs.
• Support the definition and ensuring continuity/traceability of the functional, non-functional requirements and processes as part of the overall definition of solutions to support business needs.
What will you be doing
• Work on small streams of analysis and produce components of project artefacts e.g. PID/Charter or BRD.
• Support the analysis and demand challenge of requirements and requirements gathering;
• Engaging with business SME’s to gather requirements through workshops and user interviews.
• Support the definition of functional and non-functional requirements;
• Apply analytical skills to solutions delivery/build, business and technical documentation;
• Documenting business requirements and business processes.
• Provide input, where possible, into the development of policies and procedures
• Support in the preparation of Acceptance Testing scenarios in line with business requirements.
• Participate in user testing process liaising with business testers to raise and support the resolution of defects.
• Perform data analysis on the production incidents and propose strategic enhancements.
• Provide management information based on trending analysis of the agile metrics.
What we’re looking for:
• Relevant experience in the field of business analysis or a similar role.
• Some knowledge and experience of gathering Regulatory and compliance related requirements and defining relevant business designs/processes within financial organisations.
• Good communication skills with ability to liaise with business and IT stakeholders at all levels of the organisation up to Director level.
• Experience of the software development lifecycle, the roles and responsibilities on large projects and the motivations of the actors involved.
• Understanding of project methodologies and their application within the organisation’s project methodology.
• Exposure to working in small to medium scale change initiatives.
• Experience of preparing and issuing a range of key business analysis deliverables
• Awareness of domain activities.
• Experience of communicating with a wide array of people.
• Experience of the underpinning frameworks and tools for business analysis documentation e.g. UML / BPMN
• Adept at using Microsoft Office products with some experience using other software packages relevant to BA work
• Process mapping and requirements definition expertise
• Wide range of proven analytical ability
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Financial Services industry experience
• Knowledge of Compliance/regulatory solutions/software
• Knowledge of Management Information/reporting IT solutions/software
• Experience in planning and executing Modelling and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
