This role is responsible for leading the India Accounting and Compliance team with a focus on continuous process improvement to enable Icertis to meet its operational, reporting and compliance requirements as the India operations continue to grow. The designation will be either Manager or Senior Manager depending on the work experience and profile.
Responsibilties:

    • Lead the Accounting, Payroll, Tax and Compliance functions for India.
    • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close.
    • Ensure that the monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Carry out monthly Balance Sheet and P&L reviews and provide flux analysis.
    • Ensure adherence to Icertis Global Accounting policies, US GAAP and India GAAP.
    • Help set up the right internal controls necessary for a rapidly growing business.
    • Leading statutory / internal audit for timely and effective closure.
    • Ensuring timely settlement of inter-company receivables and payables, investment of surplus funds and working capital mgmt. as per internal policies.
    • Ensure compliance with direct tax regulations including routine tax payments, return filings as well as ensuring completion of tax audit, transfer pricing study and corporate tax returns.
    • Ensure compliance with Indirect tax including routine tax payments, return / refund filings under GST, compliance under STPI, FEMA and Companies Act etc.
    • Lead payroll function including reviews, continuous process improvement projects, annual payroll related compliance monitoring, stock valuation etc.
    • Support the Finance Leadership team on special / ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.
    • Other ad hoc responsibilities as necessary from time to time in order to support the growth of Finance operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Chartered Accountant with around 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in IT MNC particularly in India Accounting and Compliance team.
    • Big 4 experience will be highly preferred.
    • Experience with NetSuite ERP and Concur a plus.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Hands-on, detail oriented, organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
    • A strong team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude who drives process improvements to increase effectiveness of the team and minimize room for errors.
    • Excellent multi-tasker who has strong time and project management skills and understands the importance of planning in advance to meet deadlines that include multiple reviews points and iterations.
    • Strong communicator, both written and verbal; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications.
    • Will need to attend late evening / night conference calls with the teams in the US and should be comfortable working across time zones and different work cultures.
