2. Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level technical support, guidance and direction for products supported.
3. Analyse and resolve escalated problems
4. Ensure integrity of supported environment
5. Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks
6. Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software Work with change and problem management tools
7. Hardware /software fault detection and vendor liaison
8. Liaise with OEM Vendors as required
9. Analyse and resolve escalated problems within target
10. Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability
11. Document and implement changes to technical standards as required
12. Change and problem management targets are exceeded
13. Ensure that customer satisfactory levels are exceeded
14. Has applied knowledge of SAN, and various EMC products – namely Clariion, Symmetrix, DMX, Celerra and Centera
15. Provide recommendations to improve the SAN infrastructure, and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis
16. Proven track record in the implementation and execution of documented support processes and can direct others in same
17. Must have excellent team working skills balanced with ability to work alone and a positive attitude
18. Ability to quickly assimilate technical and non-technical information
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and verbal
19. Desire to obtain formal certification is a must (preferable is already holding atleast one)
20. Fully understand and support all storage and Backup administration and management policies and procedures
21. Manage the storage and Backup infrastructure to ensure all Service Level Agreements are met
22. Second level management and support of Server/Storage/Backup infrastructure components
23. Implement approved tested, regression planned changes to the storage/ Backup infrastructure within agreed outage periods
24. Monitor storage/Backup environment and suggest timely recommendations to prevent storage related operational problems
Desired Skills-
- Providing support and administering Storage frames(VMAX ,VNX,Isilon,HDS,NetApp)
- Troubleshooting on Performance Issue, slow drain issue on Cisco
- IO balancing in VMAX frame(balancing the FA’s- Considering all parameter)
- Cisco SAN Switch code upgrade, ONTAP Upgrade, Port channel Configuration
- Performing DB refreshes using Time Finder/SRDF, RPA, FlexClone & Snapmirror.
- DB Migration from VMAX to NetApp
- Analyzing and understanding the customer infrastructure and Project deliverable
- Planning Design and implementation of Data migration within EMC and other storage frame
- Validation of all storage frame configuration ,host configuration and performance of critical app before the peak period to avoid disruption
- Good understanding of ITIL process including the incident, Change and Problem Management
