In this role, you have the opportunity to
Manages different competency teams and respective budgets within R&D software development focused on shaping and delivering new or upgrading existing software while working closely with Market Innovation hub leaders across geographies to deliver Market relevant Solutions
You are responsible for
Driving excellent program management practices in the department Establishing a strong structure and digital capabilities in the team, to interface with local and global Clinical partners & Market Innovation team to deliver on use cases (eg. with Market Innovation teams in NA, EU & Asia AND with Clinical partners like SingHealth, Manipal, Karolinska,..)
Manages directly or through subordinate Software Leaders and Scrum masters and takes on strategic initiatives besides managing a team
Strategy & Execution: Executes on the organization’s strategy, providing clearly defined success criteria and levels of accountability for individuals in the team. Removes impediments for the progress of the teams and acts as escalation point.
Quality & Craftmanship: Consistently delivers high Quality software at a sustainable speed, maintaining an advanced level of software craftmanship as established by the SW CoE. Ensures adherence to all applicable development processes, legal, quality, security and regulatory requirements.
People Leadership & Culture: Develops High Performing teams: use best in class practices regarding recruitment and selection, adequate staffing, renumeration, goal setting and performance appraisals and people development. Make use of technical content and deliverables as well as feedback from others when appropriate. Drives an engaged, innovative, and inspiring working environment in the teams by motivating, challenging and coaching employees. Actively manages the portfolio of resources, tools and training to accomplish current and future key objectives. Manages the needed capabilities whilst developing and maintaining a long-term view on the required competences and knowledge.
Technical Engagement & Collaboration: Contributes to the technical innovation of the product and/or systems which the teams are accountable for by providing insights, hands-on technical reviews and continuous feedback. Stays up-to-date on the relevant technology domain. Enjoys self-learning and brings new technical practices and innovations to the team. Collaborates with relevant internal and external parties establishing an effective network to obtain input on technological developments, identifying trends and opportunities.
Operational Excellence, Processes & Decision Making: Executes on continuous improvement in processes and ways of working to achieve operational excellence. Makes informed business and technical decisions quickly as the result of well-directed data gathering, effective analysis and good judgement. Balancing the tension between daily tasks and the long-term strategic vision of the organization.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering related discipline
Overall 10+ years of which 5+ years in Team management and Program management
Ability to work closely with cross-functional & life cycle teams spread globally, playing a leadership role in leading the overall project/ program to success. Drives effective stakeholder communication
Strong people leader, with an ability to identify competence and build capabilities fit for future
Strong program management skills, combined with sound knowledge to use tools/practices (effective department level program reviews; reports; online tools and practices like TFS, Qlikview..)
Excellent interpersonal skills, with sensitivity to complex organizational structures, varying cultures, and potentially conflicting constraints is critical.
Demonstrated history of working in globally matrixed teams and hard/soft influencing skills
