AnalystDeal Management Team – MAPBU

The Deal Management Team (DMT) for MAPBU is a dynamic team established to support the governance, deal advisory services, approval management and operational execution of MAPBU deals. As Analyst of DMT for MAPBU, you will have the exciting & challenging opportunity to be part of a dedicated team of global specialists for both stand-a-lone and sales offerings for Tanzu products sold alongside of other offerings from VMware. You will also ensure offerings to customers meet uniform governance requirements and drive operational excellence by working collaboratively with key stakeholders while complying with VMware policy.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing
During the first 6 to 12 months, the successful candidate will:
Support the sales of Tanzu products during the order to cash selling motion when they are sold in standalone offerings or when they are sold with other VMW products.
Ensure uniform governance for all MAPBU deals regardless of which Order-to-Cash system is administering the transaction.
Collaborate with the Business Unit, Sales, and other key business partners when supporting MAPBU offerings during the VMware selling motion.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis

  • Provide basic guidance and act as internal deal advocate by taking responsibility for leading deal from quote to closing.
  • Navigate organizational structure and build relationships of trust with stakeholders.
  • Follow established revenue recognition company guidelines for both the quoting and contract process.
  • Understand the basic commercial components of building a deal and how the financial elements intersect with the terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of tools required, identify system issues, and raise awareness to solve them
  • Obtain basic knowledge and seek to learn the products/services that VMware offers.
  • Follow internal business processes to solution and seek appropriate guidance/approvals to resolve situations that deviate from standard process or fallbacks.
  • Seek understanding of who the customer is and their requirements.
  • Understand the use of contract templates and guidelines to prepare customer documents.

The Analyst of DMT for MAPBU will report to the Manager of DMT for MAPBU. The team is situated in EMEA, Americas, APJ regions, and is part of VMware’s global DMT.
