Job Description:

Researches, designs, develops operates and maintains support services for existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions through integration of technical and business requirements per standard company IT process methodology (such as ITIL and ITSM). Includes identification, development and prioritization of support services according to business criticality. Applications and information systems solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis of business requirements, configuration of 3rd party software implementation of infrastructure solutions, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications, and support and maintenance of infrastructure and information systems. Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Participates in architecture reviews to ensure that solutions comply with standards and uses approved technologies. Typical customers are company end users and various functional areas such as Supply Chain, Research and Development, Marketing, Finance, a business, or the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements and company goals
  • Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instance, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements
  • Communicate with project managers, clients and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
  • Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives, and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
  • Interact directly with clients, managers and end users as necessary to analyse project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications and interactions with internal Salesforce instances
  • Provide system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects and workflow
  • Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, product development and operations, to ensure Salesforce environment supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 – 14 years.
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification
  • 3 – 5 years of experience with Salesforce CPQ (SteelBrick) required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and technical leadership skills. Strong experience with infrastructure environments (e.g. operating system, hardware, data center, security, network, voice, end user and server / web related applications).
  • Strong experience with business IT applications (e.g. supply chain, customer relationship mgmt., HR, finance).
  • Strong experience in scripting and / or programming language. Strong experience with implementation, problem analysis and solutioning of infrastructure and business application environments. Foundational or expert knowledge and experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Web technologies. Exhibits a high level of initiative and integrity. Strong problem solving, priority setting, and collaboration skills. Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Possess creative ability, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility and self-confidence. Influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. Demonstrated technical leadership skills. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Salesforce certifications required: 201, 211 & 402
  • Salesforce lightning experience required, with experience in conversion from SFDC classic to lightning
  • Ability to manage and drive release management activities, ensuring all activities are completed based on RM schedule and deadlines. Provide guidance to IT technical team or teams on technical requirements including Product Requirements, Unit Test Cases, GitHub source coding and version control and deployment activities.
  • Have a good understanding of the Salesforce security model and have prior experience with working on large scale implementations, proficient with Apex, VisualForce, Native, MySQL and JavaScript.
