The Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for independent valuation at month-end of all assets and liabilities using multiple external vendor services pricing.
  • Calculation and analysis of reserves.
  • Conducting reviews of significant deals.
  • Identify pricing issues for complex derivative trades.
  • Review and implement Independent Pricing methodologies.
  • Providing timely information to the relevant product controller on the impacts to their books.
  • Analysis of model deficiencies.
  • Production of monthly pack which clearly states the over or undervaluation as compared to front office.
  • Ensure all trades are marked to fair value.
  • Establish best practice valuation techniques.
  • Ensure a robust and optimized Prudential Valuation Framework.
  • Ensure International Accounting Standards (IFRS) standards are applied and practiced across the business.
  • Graduate / Post Graduate with 2 – 5 years of work experience preferably in the Finance domain
