Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for all capability management processes and procedures for a given tech capability. Accountable for implementing and driving COE/Capability metrics, KPIs and success measures
  • Bring technology thought-leadership for the capability – driving capability initiatives across multiple sub functions within tech
  • Manage the day-to-day activities across matrixed organization in support of driving technology and capability building activities
  • Identify improvement/efficiency opportunities across technology and process areas within the tech area serving multiple functions
  • Implement capability review and quality assurance to ensure successful execution of goals and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Consistently report and review progress to the GCC Tech Capability Lead, steering group and relevant Stakeholders.
  • Have a detailed understanding of the GSK portfolio, principles, and company direction and embed these in projects
  • Engage in the wider GSK technology functions and community and update the community on learnings

  • Proven ability to run high performing technology COEs,
  • Preferably should be familiar with data analytics capability.
    12-14+ years of overall experience in Engineering/Technology Delivery
  • 3-5 years’ experience in technology COE management
  • Experienced in working with matrixed organizations and driving technology thought-leadership in the same
  • Tech Program management experience in Pharma is a plus, but not mandatory (min requirement is a good understanding of the industry)
  • Demonstrated mastery of the technical program management processes and principles
  • Excellent interpersonal (communication and presentation) and organizational skills
  • Good understanding of Agile/ Lean/ 6-sigma principles
  • Problem solving abilities and a can do attitude
  • Superb persuading and influencing skills
  • The position holder will work together with the GCC Tech Capability Lead to setup and run respective tech GCC Capability
  • The role will work with a wide variety of stakeholders and Leadership roles
  • Required to bring technology thought-leadership in the respective capability areas and work closely with global functional leads to implement key technology initiatives.
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional, remote, diverse teams is critical to effectively establish the capability management function
  • Previous exposure to technology product development, Agile, DevOps, preferably in a technology COE model. Good understanding of technology COE setup & startup.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Technology COE setup and execution
  • COE Success Measures, KPIs and metrics
  • Program management certification (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Familiarity with Service Management lifecycle (e.g. ITIL)
  • 12-14+ years of overall experience in global technology delivery/software engineering
  • 3-5+ years of confirmed experience in Technology COE Management
  • Project Management tools and applications such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence
  • Agile (SAFe/SCRUM) and Lean Six Sigma
