The Role Responsibilities

  • Work as a team player, Lead and support BA’s functionally in a global technology team that is responsible for delivering a strategic platform to support Financial Crime Investigations %26amp; Monitoring in the Legal and Compliance Technology space.
  • Participate in business requirements / functional specification definition, scope management, data analysis and design, in collaboration with both business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Document detailed business requirements and gain formal signoff from the business.
  • Support and coordinate system implementations through the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, analysis / design, development, implementation, testing, rollout, and hand-over) working with other teams on a local and global basis.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, requirements workshops, surveys, business process analysis, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.
  • Work closely with the solutions architecture team to define the target detailed solution to deliver the business requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and ensure functionality is implemented correctly including bug fixes that come out of the testing cycles.
  • Review test plan and test cases.
  • Coordinate UAT and system integration testing.
  • Answer users’ questions/queries.
  • Provide updates to the project / program manager with regards to progress and issues, where appropriate
  • Prepare Traceability Matrix, Data Mapping and Data Sourcing documents
  • Support internal and external audit queries

Business Analysis

  • Strong analytical and Problem Solving skills.
  • Strong ability to interpret customer business requirements and translate them into functional requirements and functional design
  • Implement architectural designs while building solid relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to quickly understand and articulate as-is and to-be architecture and processes.
  • Ability to identify and escalate risks and issues as appropriate and identify potential solutions.
  • Work with functional analysts, external consultants, developers and development managers to ensure that all solutions are deployed within agreed timelines and supported after delivery
  • Good understanding and ability to create traceability matrix to ensure all business requirements are being delivered as promised per the scheduled software release cycle
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging the gap between technology and business functions
  • Detailed knowledge of the software development lifecycle and an understanding of where a technology business analyst fits in.

Experience and Business Knowledge

  • Business analysis experience in banking environment, as a BA ideally, but not essentially, with exposure to Financial crime and/or fraud prevention experience and appreciation of general banking products. An ideal candidate should have system analysis /architecture background within financial markets-based systems and Strong understanding of data flow across Banking applications

Change Knowledge

  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
  • Good track record of communicating effectively with both business and IT staff at all levels.
  • Experience in delivering large scale transformational / change within a structured programme management environment.
  • Experience facilitating workshops / discussions.

Non-technical Skills

  • Proven ability to work within a team environment.
  • Highly effective verbal and written English communication %26amp; presentation skills.
  • Ability to make good / sound decisions and use independent judgement.
  • Strong reasoning, analytical and inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Good knowledge on Agile practices
