Regulatory demands and the focus on Markets Surveillance have intensified globally. As a result the Trade Surveillance Technology team at Citi Pune has an increased book of work that requires additional business lines, countries, and more sophisticated surveillance methods to be delivered using our strategic platforms. These platforms allow users to monitor trading activity across multiple asset classes and information barriers, on real time, end of day, and historic lookup bases for indications of potential Market Abuse, Insider Dealing, and other types of fraud. As we further expand global coverage and deliver more sophisticated Behavioral Analytics based solutions, we are seeking an additional Business Analyst / Project Manager to join the team.
The successful candidate will be an established BA / PM with 8-10 years of experience, with a strong background working within technology teams to deliver projects and roll out new products. Tasks will include (depending on relevant experience) working with junior and senior Compliance stakeholders globally; coordinating and documenting requirements gathering; running meetings / workshops; producing high quality BRDs and FRDs; requirements traceability and maintenance; using capital markets knowledge to assist with data analysis, data science, solution design and prototyping; liaising with developers, testers, and other technology teams throughout project lifecycles; scope management and change management; analyzing system flows; detailed data acquisition, analysis, and mapping work (including trade, market and reference data); assisting with writing test cases and expected test results; facilitating UAT; working with a global and diverse range of people and systems across multiple business and technology units.
The role will also require extensive project management skills, including planning, estimating; managing risks and issues; reporting; managing multiple stakeholders; engaging successfully with software developers and testers to ensure delivery on time and within budget. It will therefore be essential to have a proven track record of managing projects using various software development lifecycles.
This role will also offer the highest caliber candidate additional development opportunities to get involved in the design, prototype, and implementation of new industry leading surveillance techniques based on advanced data analytics, behavioural analytics, and machine learning. Some prior knowledge of Features Engineering or Features Design would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Job Skills/Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Understanding of Capital Markets, for example trading, the trade lifecycle, exchanges, market participants, etc. across multiple asset classes with 8-10 years of experience
- Ability to record and restate information in an effective and professional manner
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to express ideas to people from various business and technology backgrounds
- Outstanding attention to detail, and determination to design robust and complete solutions
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to quickly and accurately identify and analyze relevant information relating to projects
- Ability to accurately make use of logic and consider all relevant facts to make rational, realistic and sound decisions
- Meticulous planning and an organized approach to work
- Ability to leverage functional and business knowledge
- Positive and optimistic outlook
- Exceptional Project Leadership, with the ability to bring multiple technical teams together, both onsite and remotely, to work towards common goals and on time product delivery
In addition, the following will be a distinct advantage:
- Experience in Trade Surveillance would be beneficial
- Database querying and SQL skills, and good understanding of Capital Markets related data (e.g. Trade Orders and Executions, Reference Data, Market Data, etc.)
- Product Knowledge relating to any of the financial markets, e.g. Equities, FX, Exchange Traded and OTC Derivatives, Commodities, Fixed Income, etc.
- A keen interest in Trade Surveillance, Capital Markets, and Data Analytics / Data Science
- Ability to build strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholders
- Use of appropriate interpersonal and communication skills to gain acceptance of an idea, plan or activity
- Experience with Data Mining, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning
