Main purpose of the job and key background information

  • Will be responsible for handling the gamut of core accounting and finance function for PwC SDC Kolkata.
  • Heavy involvement in account closure
  • Financial analytics related function and reporting (including organisational budgeting and MIS)
  • Should understand Taxation (indirect and direct)
  • Adhering to Indian Accounting standards (Ind AS)
  • Monitor time and manage tight deadlines
  • Understand, identify, implement and monitor internal controls
  • Effective mentoring and coaching skills
  • Training capabilities
  • Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics by working as a team member, understand personal and team roles and contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members and proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback.

Requirements

  • Qualified chartered accountant with minimum 7 years of experience
  • Core accounting and finance experience
  • Should have in-dept knowledge in
    • Indian Accounting standards (Ind AS)
    • Internal control management
    • Financial analysis through excel
  • Should have working knowledge in
    • Taxation (indirect and direct)
    • Financial Operations such as P2P, R2R etc.
    • Budget
  • Should be result oriented and shall be able to work under tight deadlines.
