Senior Build and Release Engineer Job For 2-10 Year Exp In TechPro HR Consultancy Bengaluru / Bangalore – 1475054

– BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 3 years builds and release management.
-Experience writing and maintaining scripts in Perl, shell and batch.
-Knowledge of build tools such as make, ant and maven.
-Experience with automated build tools, such as Jenkins.
-Familiarity with configuration management and release-related activities
-In-depth knowledge of version control tools similar to Git, or Clear Case.

Role And Responsibilities-

– Responsible for managing build environment, including installation, configuration and maintenance of version control systems. Maintains significant automated build environment and associated tools. Works closely with, and provides support to Development, QA, and Customer Support as needed.
Major Duties & Responsibilities

-Research and evaluate new technologies for use in automated build environment.
-Setup and maintain build environment required for each release.
-Manage and support merges between branches.
-Maintain build scripts and perform code review on scripts, as needed.
-Work closely with development and QA to implement new functionality.
-Manage installer and update scripts to support new platforms.
-Maintain various tools required to support the build environment.
-Expected to solve problems of moderate complexity, alone or as part of a team.
-Ability to multitask and work on simultaneous projects.
Communications

-Both verbally and in writing, communicates effectively for technical accuracy and completeness, generally to an Engineering audience, but occasionally to non-technical personnel.
-Communicates across department lines
-Delivers weekly status to mentor or manager.
-Communicates effectively with more junior team members, providing direction, coaching and/or training, as needed.
