Job Summary

The Senior Application and Product Architect will be responsible for the effective design and management of an Informatica MDM solution.
He / She will report into the Director of Business Intelligence and be responsible for controlling all data entering the MDM hub. A significant portion of this role will be spent tuning MDM processes and onboarding new data sources to support the Business Intelligence team in maintaining and managing Marketing, Sales, and Client data accuracy and integrity. The successful candidate will have strong background in managing large data sets and working with MDM and ETL toolsets. The candidate will also have an ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Proficient in the development of Master Data Management solutions using Informatica Data Quality and MDM Hub
  • Configure Informatica Data Director (IDD) for Data Governance to be used by the Business users, IT Managers and Data Stewards
  • Address data cleansing using Informatica Address Doctor to discover deliverable personal and business addresses
  • Execute data profiling using Informatica Analyst tool and make recommendations for optimal data performance
  • Implement data cleansing, standardization, and parsing using Informatica Data Quality(IDQ)
  • Create source to target mappings, edit validations, transformations and business rules
  • Design and implement ETL environments using both IDQ and Power Center
  • Identify and develop insight to reduce data quality issues and process gaps
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and perform evaluations of the health and validity of the core source systems
  • Execute and analyze daily health of the data reporting operations
  • Self-organize work and priorities to execute more effectively
  • Directly responsible to the stakeholders for timely delivery & completion of assigned projects
  • Document data dictionaries and business requirements for key workflows and process points
  • Recommend Process improvements & suggest alternatives for continuous enhancement of existing workflow

Job Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, computer engineering or a technology-related field required; plus 5+ years of Data Governance experience or equivalent data related programs

Experience:

  • Experience in Master Data Management concepts and Methodologies with the ability to apply this knowledge in building MDM solutions.
  • Knowledge in defining and configuring landing tables, staging tables, base objects, hierarchies, foreign-key relationships, lookups, query groups and packages
  • Familiarity in data warehouse concepts/data warehouse architecture and best practices
  • Experience in Performance tuning of targets, sources, mappings and sessions
  • Understanding in working with UNIX Shell scripts and Batch scripts and necessary Test Plans to ensure the successful execution of the data loading process
  • Excellent knowledge of software development life cycle activities including analysis, design, development, unit testing, regression testing, production deployment and Maintenance Team player
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently and motivate a team of professionals
  • Experience with managing, monitoring and scoring data quality in a transactional environment
  • Proven capability to gather, manage and synthe large amounts of information efficiently, effectively and creatively with maniacal attention to detail
  • Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and experience using multiple mediums to resolve daily tasks
  • Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, an investigative mentality, organizational and logic skills
  • Must possess strong communication (verbal and written), research and interpersonal skills as well as excellent time-management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to be highly productive and efficient in a team driven environ
