Job Description:

• Candidate should have 5 to 8 years of experience, but 4 + Years in Administration of IBM Websphere Portal (now known as HCL Websphere portal), IBM Websphere Application Server (WAS) and IBM BPM Servers on Linux
• Hands on WebSphere Portal experience is a must
• WAS administration experience is desired
• BPM administration experience is good to have

• Maintaining resources as required by applications, such as:

1) Deploying applications

2) Security
3)Installing and configuring LDAP
4) Tuning

5) Understand the principles of migration

6) Application upgrades and typical issues with JDK versions
7) Application Debugging

8) General debugging
o Know how to use telnet, and other command-lines tools to debug network / firewall connectivity. Tools such as curl, ssh and other O/S related commands like netstat, ps, ifconfig, route etc
9) Shell scripting
o Understand Korn Shell / Bash Shell
o Know the basics of loops, functions and environment variables in shell scripting

10) Logging & Tracing

11) BPM, Portals,, File systems
