Job Description :
The Launch PM is responsible for coordinating and facilitating all IT aspects of a new client launch on our platforms.This involves coordination with the Launch Center of Excellence (LCOE), Operations, the Client and IT Resource Managers in Development, Testing and Requirements Gathering.
The right candidate will be able to pick up on processes quickly and is comfortable with helping further define new processes. Each Project Manager will be responsible for handling 2-3 launches at any point in time. The most critical aspect of this position is ensuring communication and timelines are on track to accomplish a seamless on-boarding for new clients. To accomplish this, the PM will work directly with 7-10 resources to coordinate timelines throughout the process. In addition, the PM will be asked at times to crash a schedule or add phases into an existing schedule to accommodate aggressive timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Develops, refines, validates, and manages project plans to ensure on time and on budget delivery of major technology initiatives across the enterprise.
• Responsible for utilizing project management methods, standards, project integration as well as the coordination of all internal and external resources required to complete assigned projects.
• Provides timely and concise communications to functional leadership regarding project status and pending issues; analyzes processes and makes recommendations for optimizing resources and product delivery.
• Develops project plans based on specifications provided by the Portfolio Management staff and manages effective execution of the initiatives.
• Builds consensus among multiple process leads relative to project scope, task execution, staffing and issue resolution.
• Provides overall financial direction for the projects to manage the development of budgets, controls and measurements to monitor project progress.
• Identifies potential risks within the project; proactively manages issues.
• Participates in identifying project costs, resource allocation, project schedule changes and issue escalation.
