Job Description: RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the requirements gathering process and provide feedback to ensure sound development
Build, test, maintain and scale the SharkDreams websites.
Perform website updates
Build websites compatible with all browsers, devices and operating systems.
Implement contingency plans in case the websites go down
Register websites with search engines to increase web site traffic.
Assure form validation and data accuracy.
Maintain software documentation
Monitor website traffic and provide periodic reports to stakeholders.
Ensure that all security, confidentiality and privacy policies are adhered to.
Adhere to programming best practices and guidelines
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to make sure projects are completed within the assigned time and budget.
Ensure that the website meets all the business requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of experience as a web developer
A bachelor’s degree in Computer science
Strong experience with HTML5 and CSS
Development experience with ES6, jQuery, AJAX
Working experience with various CMS including WordPress, Joomla and square space
Strong experience with SEO, landing pages and tracking pixels.
Website optimization
Understanding of emerging web technologies.
Experience with Git or other version control systems
Experience with Photoshop, Sketch, InVision and Zeplin
Experience working in an Agile environment
Strong sense of security and reflects a high level of discretion and confidentiality
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Expertise in Angular, React, Nodejs, Bootstrap and other modern UI frameworks
Experience with preprocessors like gulp, sass and less
Familiarity with UNIX systems
