We have an urgent requirement for Desktop Support Engineer with one of our client located at Bangalore engaged in the healthcare domain. Our client is a certified health care information technology company that serves an extensive network of health plans, providers, and technology partners nationwide through a suite of dynamic products built on a powerful, intelligent platform. Healthcare IT & RCM. Provides Cloud based software.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for computer systems software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations and computer peripherals in a heterogeneous environment. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel. May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects. May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Respond in a professional manner to help desk tickets in person and remotely
  • Rotating night/weekend on-call support
  • Build/configure new user workstation equipment set (PC, desktop image, phone, peripherals, software, user accounts)
  • Support of Microsoft systems
  • Decommission user equipment set/accounts

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 3-5 years of experience in network and desktop support; excellent communication skills, must be able to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and quickly assess and resolve issues; must be able to interface with all levels of employees
  • 3-5 years field experience with Microsoft technologies
  • Preferred: MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) and/or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional, and/or MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician), A+ Certification, MCSE 2000 or greater and college degree preferred

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • 3-5 years of experience customer service role with daily interaction with clients.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory managing user accounts and groups.
  • Experience with disk imaging technologies such as Ghost or Acronis
  • Experience with package deployment tools such as SCCM or BigFix.
  • Experience with Antivirus products such as Sophos or Mcafee.
  • Experience with remote access solutions such as Cisco or Juniper VPN.
  • Field experience troubleshooting Microsoft desktop environments.
