Job Description :
We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator with strong skills in Oracle Golden Gate depoloyments. You will be responsible for supporting various database initiatives for our business unit and will own, track, and resolve database related incidents and requests within established SLAs. To succeed in this position, you should be self-motivated and have a high sense of ownership, coupled with strong database skills.
You will perform administration of our Oracle databases, including functions such as SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, and database design. You may also be asked to do data modeling and database development support. As you actively monitor database servers, you will respond to alerts. You will work with development teams in the database design process to make recommendations based on the database needs of the applications. This is a 24×7 support team, so participation in an on-call rotation may be asked of you for housekeeping and install work. You should also be knowledgeable enough to participate in disaster recovery and high availability strategy discussions. Documenting in a clear concise way is also important.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle DBA with Exadata and RAC expertise
- 3+ years of DBA experience in other DBMS systems ( Postgres, MariaDB , SQL Server and Snowflake)
- 5+ years of experience in Distributed replication technologies ( Oracle Goldengate, EDB Replication, etc)
- 5+ years of experience in the Mutual Fund /Financial Services industry is highly desired
- Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as maintaining a flexible attitude are a must
- Ability to develop and drive database administration strategies and initiatives as per the needs of the team
- Ability to quickly synthe ideas, options, and thoughts into solutions to management to aid in decision-making
