OPERATIONAL
• Lead and manage Technology Services (TS) input into the sales cycle, from pre-sales engagement, through solutioning, sign-on/sign-off, proposal writing and costing and finally to contract schedule preparation
• Own the Azure technical customer engagement, including: architectural design sessions, requirements management, implementation of projects and/or proofs of concepts, and production of cost models
• Present to customers on the benefits of Cloud and convince them to use Azure for their workloads as part of pre-sales activities
• Drive the deployment of customer workloads into Azure and increase their consumption of the platform by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers’ cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers
• Drive the Solutioning activities for deals ranging from small/medium to large and complex deals which involve multiple service lines and / or technology domains
• Lead deployment of projects, creation of collateral, and training of internal stakeholders and partners
• Define and document architecture, capture and document non-functional (architectural) requirements, prepare estimates and define technical solutions to proposals (RFPs)
• Gather and analyze business needs and requirements
• Conduct technical study and assessment of solutions to address requirements
• Design and implement solution in internal and client environments, including on premise/hosted, cloud service providers such as Azure
• Provide technical leadership to project team(s) to perform design to deployment related activities, provide guidance, perform reviews, prevent and resolve technical issues
• Guide team of Architects, who would be responsible for specific architectural area or part of the architecture/solution
• Keep up to date with market trends and competitive insights
Educational Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Accreditations e.g. Azure Expert Solution Architect, TOGAF, ITIL foundation
2. Skills & Experience:
• 10+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.) preferably for a Tier 1 or 2 Service Provider
• 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects).
• 2+ years of experience on major transformation projects and successful implementations on Azure Cloud
• Experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture design discussions with senior customer executives to drive cloud deployment.
• Experience in migrating on premise workloads to the cloud
• Technologies Exposure in Enterprise Mobility Suite, Intune, Azure Information Protection, Azure Active Directory, Octa, LDAP, OAuth, SAML, Cloud App Security, Firewalls, Office 365, Windows Server Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), iOS, Android, Windows, Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Operations Management Suite, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure App Services, Azure Storage, Azure Import/Export, Azure SQL Database, Azure Monitor, Azure Web Jobs, Azure ExpressRoute, Azure SQL Database, MySQL, Azure SQL DW, Azure DB for MySQL, Azure Cosmos DB, SQL Server, SQL Server on Azure IaaS, SharePoint on Azure, AWS EC2, S3, AWS DirectConnect
• Experience with Docker and related management systems such as Kubernetes, PCF, and OpenShift will be a plus point
• Understanding of Serverless Architecture, DevOps and Microservices architecture
