Job Title:Senior Engineer – Linux Virtualization
Department:Cockpit Platform Group
Work Location: Pune
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand the requirements, design, develop and debug system SW in the field of automotive Cluster & Infotainment system.
  • Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translates these into software designs.
  • Understanding of the system software, drivers, system architecture, design methodologies, software platform integration with hardware bring up.
  • Perform code reviews and other activities to ensure high-quality results.
  • Work well with the distributed global teams.
  • Handle customer queries and calls
  • Should be able to generate and report the work progress with right status
  • Identify the technical dependencies & risks early in the stage
  • Define the inter module interfaces and document the same
  • Communicate with peers inside the Harman group to coordinate software development. This includes occasional travel for training or coordination with other groups.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Computer Engineering/science or Electrical / Electronics / Comm. Engineering

Desired experience

  • Expertise on OS Level Security.
  • Good understanding of device trees in Linux
  • Knowledge of tools like git/repo
  • Good understanding of memory management/Interrupt handling/DMA subsystems in Linux kernel
  • Good knowledge of ARM GIC, Timers, debug subsystem(ARMv8 architecture) is an added advantage
  • 7+ yrs. of hands-on experience in Cluster & Infotainment Application development for Automotive Electronics systems.
  • Working knowledge on Virtualization (Container / Hypervisor) is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Multilayered Software architecture.
  • Experience in working with Graphical Frameworks of Linux.
  • Proficiency in programming with C.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, Configuration (Perforce, etc.) and Project Management tools
