Job Title:Senior Engineer – Linux Virtualization
Department:Cockpit Platform Group
Work Location: Pune
Essential Responsibilities:
- Understand the requirements, design, develop and debug system SW in the field of automotive Cluster & Infotainment system.
- Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translates these into software designs.
- Understanding of the system software, drivers, system architecture, design methodologies, software platform integration with hardware bring up.
- Perform code reviews and other activities to ensure high-quality results.
- Work well with the distributed global teams.
- Handle customer queries and calls
- Should be able to generate and report the work progress with right status
- Identify the technical dependencies & risks early in the stage
- Define the inter module interfaces and document the same
- Communicate with peers inside the Harman group to coordinate software development. This includes occasional travel for training or coordination with other groups.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Engineering/science or Electrical / Electronics / Comm. Engineering
Desired experience
- Expertise on OS Level Security.
- Good understanding of device trees in Linux
- Knowledge of tools like git/repo
- Good understanding of memory management/Interrupt handling/DMA subsystems in Linux kernel
- Good knowledge of ARM GIC, Timers, debug subsystem(ARMv8 architecture) is an added advantage
- 7+ yrs. of hands-on experience in Cluster & Infotainment Application development for Automotive Electronics systems.
- Working knowledge on Virtualization (Container / Hypervisor) is an added advantage.
- Experience in Multilayered Software architecture.
- Experience in working with Graphical Frameworks of Linux.
- Proficiency in programming with C.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, Configuration (Perforce, etc.) and Project Management tools

- Willingness to travel 10% of the time
