Job Title: Software Lead – Titan
Department: Titan PG
Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable (along with the Software Program Manager) technically for software delivery for the Titan platform committed scope to the CPM team
  • Technical coordination of all phases of the SW Development for the program/programs..
  • Define technical SW scope (features, functions, HLFs), priorities and deliverables with Product Management, Program Management Level as well as to the other sub-projects
  • Responsible for the technical coordination (monitoring, controlling) of the Domain/CoC PMs.
  • Responsible for the approval of a project specific SW architecture and SW integration work.
  • Responsible for the communication to the Program Management Level as well as to the other sub-projects (e.g. Product Management), wrt the technical aspects of the Program.

  • SRS gap analysis and mitigation
  • Architecture, design related decision making
  • Technical coordination, problem triage and solution
  • Pre-integration process sanity, acceptance review
  • Inter-domain dependency tracking
  • Defect Triaging
  • Code review
  • Suggest process improvements for quality of deliverables
  • Test coverage review

Decision Making Competencies

  • Negotiate SW scope, priorities and deliverables with Product Management, SW Project Level as well as with other functional areas
  • Budget assignment (make-modify-buy decision), Selection of 3rd party solutions
  • Implementation strategy of the functional area
  • Prioritization of feature development
  • Decision of software changes with impact on the current plan (time, quality, budget); escalation to SW Project Level depending on level impact
  • Strong communication and moderation skills
  • Leadership of SW development teams for the full development life cycle

Technical Skills/Qualifications

  • Good Android development experience
  • 12+ years of experience in C, C++, Java, JNI
  • Architecture and design knowledge of Android based systems (more than 2 domains)
  • Good experience in Linux development
  • Good experience in Android internals
  • Android build, porting and customization experience
  • Hands on knowledge of all / many of the following functional areas: Media, Audio, BT/WiFi/Connectivity, Systems/Security, Voice recognition, Navigation, Android Auto/Car Play, Tuner, Vehicle Interface
  • System level debugging
  • Experience of system integration for automotive infotainment systems is preferred
  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
  • Strong communication and moderation skills

Desired Characteristics

  • Proficiency with IBM RTC Tool
  • Experience in working on Android programs

Eligibility Requirements

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
  • Willingness to work in an office in Bangalore, India
