Position Summary: Briefly describe the primary purpose and function of this position.
Software engineer, who is responsible for the product development with quality and by following the engineering practices. The candidate should be a team player who should be able to code, do the peer code review, defect fixes wherever needed on the existing product and also takes the responsibility in porting the existing product to a new platform

- Uses Agile Scrum Methodology for software development.
- Develops unit tests for all new code
- Has all code changes peer reviewed, and must peer review code when required
- Provides input for documentation of new or existing programs
- Ability to refine requirements and solve problems
- Developing and improving solutions(including bug fixes) to problem
- Performs technical research, monitors current trends and changes in technology
- Demonstrates industry knowledge to assist in new product development
Basic Qualifications: List the minimum and desired education (including degrees, licenses, certification or registrations) and experience needed to perform the key responsibilities of the position.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer science (or equivalent).
- 5 or more years of practical experience in Linux Graphics Stack (fbdev, DRM/DRI, Wayaland/Weston, GENIVI Layer management, Display Drivers etc.)
- Extensive understanding for identifying, analyzing, and resolving potentially complex problems and inadequacies within graphic software related to the entire graphic driver stack, GPU, 2D/3D cores, Weston/Wayland, HMI etc.
- Experience in 2D and 3D graphics technologies and standards such as OpenGL ES 2.0/3.0/3.1, EGL, Wayaland/Weston.
- Should be familiar with composition management and with software which provides composition management like Xorg, Wayalnd/Weston, GENIVI LayerManagement.
- Understanding of multimedia on embedded systems and the use of Graphics in a highly integrated systems.
- Good Understanding on ARM, x86 Architectures
- Good Understanding on GPU architecture, Graphics Pipeline, Display Drivers
- Knowledge of various Display Interfaces (LCD, LVDS, HDMI etc) and drivers.
- Languages:
- Required: C, Device Drivers, System programming.
- Desirable: Scripting, Yocto
- OS:
- Required: Linux, QNX,
- Desirable: Andriod
- Other skills:
- Kernel Internals, Display drivers, Driver Optimisation.
- Domian Skills (Nice to Have)
- Camera capture and output drivers, Video Subssystem, Input Subsytem.
- Tools:
- Perforce, GIT, HW debugging using Analysers and HW debuggers.
- Experience with cross compiller tool chain and build IDEs
