Job Description :
At DISYS we are helping our client to find a drafter, who will perform drafting and related product documentation.
Responsibilities
Performs product documentation including part drawings, assembly drawings, engineering parts lists, bills of material, schematics, procedures, specifications, and any other documentation needed to manufacture and support products. Works on new product documentation as well as change orders for released products. Operate computer systems as required to perform documentation tasks.
The Drafter is expected to add significant value to the documentation beyond initial supplied input. Documents are completed to Engineering’s approval with only limited checking of the drafting work itself (significant design checking is still expected from Engineering).
The Drafter is expected to develop knowledge of the company’s product line and to understand much of the history and interrelated aspects of the designs.
Drafter starts to develop beyond product documentation to also assist with vendor liaison, sub-project management and overall product documentation and support. Technical design skills and knowledge also start to be important.
Other administrative tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
· 2 years of drafting experience
· AA Degree with a concentration in drafting or equivalent. We also welcome mechanical engineers to apply.
· SolidWorks experience
· Waterfall experience would be nice to have
