Handling internal and statutory audits
Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change
Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.
Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues
Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures
Accomplishes accounting objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining accounts employees

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities
Create and maintain SOPs for all accounting areas
Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the company’s general ledger.
Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, bank reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.)
Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions.
Resolves complex accounting issues or assists others doing so
Reviews general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting
Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
Produces ad hoc financial reports.
Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned or required
Essential Job Functions (Required)
Minimum of 5-6 years relevant experience preferably in MNC
Experience in independently finalizing statutory audits
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel
